Q.What kind of groups are suited to using this method of fundraising?
A. We get asked this question a lot! Any group or individual who wants to raise money quickly. We have had many sports teams and church groups use these booklets as well as entire schools, music groups, charities, exchange students, individual athletes, people going overseas on a mission etc. If you feel that you or your group are raising money for a good, genuine reason, then the Scratch and Help Booklets are right for you.

Q. What comes with each 'Scratch Pack'?
A. Each 'Scratch Pack' contains:
1 "Scratch & Help" Booklet
1 'Tips for Participants' sheet
1 Introduction Sticker
1 Zip Lock collection bag

*Every order also receives a 'Tips for the Organiser' sheet

Q. How can I place an order for some fundraising scratch packs?
A. The best way to order is to fill in the online order form on the Order Now page of this website (see the menu above). This is so we can make sure that we have all the information we need to fill your order quickly.

Q. Can we have our photo/logo and wording on the booklet?
A. Yes, on the order form there is a place for you to type what words you want on the cover. When you submit the form you can then email us a photo/image for the cover. We will design you a cover and send you a proof (if requested). You can either give the go-ahead for production if you are happy with the design or you can suggest any changes you want made and we will gladly make these for you. Once you have approved a cover design then we aim to have the booklets produced and sent to you within 5 working days.

Q. What payment options do we offer?
A. We can offer up to 2 weeks before payment is due (some coditions apply). We accept direct deposits, cheques and credit card.

Q. Can I return any unused booklets?
A. Unfortunately not, because each booklet is customised to the fundraising
group that is using them.

Q. How long will it take for my order to be ready?
A. We aim to have all orders delivered within 5 working days from receiving your completed order form but this can depend on the number ordered - Please let us know if you require them urgently and we will do our best to get them to you......We know what it can be like!.

Q. How come the booklets cost $16 - It seems a bit expensive?
A. Some people think that because the product is made of card and plastic that they must be cheap to manufacture, some even investigate creating their own booklets. We can tell you with all honesty that to produce between 1 and 300 booklets by yourself will end up costing you more than if you purchased them directly from us. This is due to the set up costs for each printing process which will be the same no matter how many you order. On top of that there is also design, packaging as well as paying for your order upfront and waiting around 3-5 weeks for delivery.

With our booklets there is also a lot of manual labor involved and, like all businesses, we need to squeeze in a bit of profit in their somewhere as well.

As far as we are aware our prices are significantly lower than other comparable products around the world.

If you can find another fundraising product that is a quick and simple as this and has the potential to raise more money with less cost and effort then by all means...go for it (and let us know about it too!)

Q. What makes the "Scratch & Help" booklets so successful?
A. A number of reasons:
1. It's a simple process for all people involved. The organiser just needs to set up the campaign and monitor the progress of the group. Usually, with other fundraising products, the organiser does most of the work. The fundraiser's get an instant "yes/no" answer and aren't required to do much more than get out and bout and ask people for some support. The potential sponsor can make a quick easy decision whether or not to support the fundraiser, no ordering or browsing through a catalog.
2. People just love to scratch off that silver stuff! They see it and want to know what's underneath!
3. Fundraising participants feel a sense of ownership when the 'Scratch Booklets' have their photos and team/school colours on the front cover. They also get rewarded based on how much effort they put in and can see the dots being scratched and the money being raised - this helps a lot with motivation.

Q. I've been looking around at some American sites that offer a similar product except their booklets come with discount coupon vouchers to give to the people donating. Why don't yours?
A. In our trials we had some fundraising groups use the "Scratch & Help" booklets with the coupons and some fundraising groups without the coupons. The groups that were not using the coupons raised more money in a significantly shorter time period compared with the group that had the coupons. We found that when potential sponsors were told that they would receive a discount coupon sheet if they scratched off a few dots, their focus shifted from 'helping out the fundraiser' to 'what is this person trying to sell me?' They began analyzing whether or not the coupons were something they would buy. People were getting turned off by the fact that they felt they were 'buying' these coupons when they could get them for free on the back of supermarket dockets and on the internet.

Q. About how long does it take for someone to complete a 'Scratch Booklet'?
A. It depends on the individuals motivation. Some people can get a 'Scratch Booklet' finished in a couple of days, others can take a lot longer. On average 1 booklet per week is a reasonable expectation.

Q. How many 'Scratch Packs' can/should I order?
A. You can order from 1 to 1000 'Scratch Packs.' It's a good idea to start out with 1 booklet per fundraiser and maybe get a few extras for those who need more.

Q. Can I order extra 'Scratch Booklets' if we run out?
A. Yes. We will quickly be able to send you additional booklets because all of the design work has been done previously and is on file.
